On April 17th, HMC held Q1 communication, focusing on safety, Q1 performance dashboard, and cost control. All employees reached a consensus, set clear targets, and took pragmatic actions to address current challenges.
At the meeting, the GM and DGM reaffirmed safety at first. HMC always put employee safety first and responds quickly and efficiently on unsafe accident. HMC has taken several improvement actions to strengthen safety. It is not only the reflects on the past but also commits to the future. More importantly, everyone should enhance safety awareness to take good care of themselves and those around them. Meanwhile, we should strictly follow rules, and uphold HMC's value of integrity – together safeguarding HMC's safety line and foundation of trust.
Then Q1 performance dashboard and new KPIs were reviewed and introduced. The first quarter started off quite well. When issues arose, the team responded quickly. The point of KPIs is not that they are always green, but that they help us manage our business by detecting and fixing problems quickly. Finally, given the world situation, they gave more background information on the cost containment actions. Facing UNCERTAINTY such as drop in air traffic, air travel disruption, and jet fuel rising costs, while preserving necessary costs for operations, quality and safety, we have implemented many cost saving initiatives to prepare for what might happen over the next few months.
From strengthening safety to cost containment, HMC has demonstrated the courage to face problems, the ability to act quickly, and the confidence to embrace the future. Let us unite our efforts at this smooth start, enhance operational resilience, and jointly write a more robust new chapter.
