Responsibility Management

HMC has always had a clear safety management governance, and has formed a comprehensive responsibility system that covers all employees and all aspects. All departments and levels strictly implement safety responsibilities, strengthen on-site management, and do a good job in risk control.

Safety Culture

Listen to Employees, Protect Employees, Engage Employees is the core concept of HMC's safety culture. HMC respects the opinions of every employee. Everyone can easily access their line manager and EHS manager directly as soon as a safety observation or safety improvement idea emerges. To protect employees, there are many kinds of PPE required in each production area. Big poster stands with photographs clearly indicate which PPE to wear for each operation. HMC has an annual plan of safety campaigns to encourage employee participation in various activities. From teams to workshops, from office to production front line, eye-catching videos and posters create a strong safety culture atmosphere for employees. In addition, HMC conducts good practice learning and sharing with all entities EHS teams to deepen safety culture through communication.

Safety Campaign

To constantly enhance employee safety awareness, on top of existing safety trainings, routines, safety Gemba, etc., HMC has organized a series of safety campaigns in 2024. We have successively carried out Safety Golden Rules reinforcement, First-Aid training, Fire Emergency Drills and a roadshow on falling from heights prevention and confined space rescue in collaboration with 3M, supervising the safety of going up and down stairs and QA conversation with employees conducted by the Management team, etc., to enhance emergency response capabilities and integrate safety concepts into the operation process.

Safety is not the responsibility of a single department, because it is the basis of everyone’s daily work. In future, HMC will make further efforts to strengthen the safety production system from a higher new start. Let’s work together to maintain a safety work environment.
