HMC Drives Sustainable Aviation with Circular Tech

The 12th "France-China Environment Month” series of themed events were fully held in China in October. The aviation industry as a recognized "difficult to reduce carbon" industry, its sustainable development in the future urgently needs to be reshaped by the entire industrial chain. On Oct. 24th, HMC was invited to participate in the related event held by Airbus at the French Embassy in Beijing, together with industry partners to lead the way, demonstrating its practice and role in the entire chain of collaboration.

D
uring this event, Airbus launched three sustainability initiatives, one of which is to promote the transformation of the circular economy in aviation manufacturing. As a key part of Airbus' full aircraft lifecycle in China, HMC plays a pivotal role in tackling the technical challenges of carbon fiber recycling. As such, HMC is actively engaged in projects that aim to comprehensively recycle the waste carbon fibre generated during production and convert them into reusable resources that can be given a “second life”. This practice not only serves as a crucial implementation of the "Recycle" step in Airbus "10R Pathway", but also provides strong support for Airbus' goal of reducing global waste by 20% compared to 2015 and achieving "zero landfill" by 2030.

Beyond carbon fiber recycling,
HMC integrates sustainable development across all production operations. Through energy conservation initiative, renewable electricity, clean production processes and green supply chain management, we are reducing carbon emissions and environmental impact throughout our manufacturing processes. This comprehensive, multi-layered green practice system not only achieves energy savings and emission reductions, but also sets an industry benchmark, driving the entire aviation ecosystem toward more efficient resource utilization.

Each rebirth of material reaffirms our commitment to sustainable development; every resource-saving initiative reshapes our future. Moving forward, we will continue to advance the "circular" revolution in manufacturing, working together to build a new, resource-efficient ecosystem for the aviation manufacturing industry.
