From October 20th to 31st, HMC launched a two-week "Zero Food Waste Challenge" actively responding to Airbus China iCompany Sustainability initiative. All employees joined this effort to pursue a " Zero Food Waste" trend and promote sustainable dining practices through actions.
Before the campaign, we promoted the concept of "value every grain" through videos, Pop Quiz and Knowledge Sharing. The ensuing " Zero Food Waste Challenge" spurred mutual encouragement and active participation among colleagues, building a culture to make every meal count. Within the two weeks, 220 people participated and of which over 140 people finished the 10-day zero food waste challenge to help reduce food waste by 135.5 kg, which cutting 40% from the previous daily average. It makes the largest and longest-running challenge to date. The stamps we collected symbolize our dedication, and the results confirm the power of our collective effort.
HMC 's "Zero Food Waste Challenge" marks its fourth anniversary has evolved from an initiative into a voluntary action and a sustainable corporate habit. Each empty plate reflects our commitment to sustainable development and marks our progress in building a conservation-oriented enterprise. Moving forward, we will integrate this sustainable development mindset into every corner, make energy conservation and emission reduction a green engine for our operations.
