HMC Successfully Conducted the First Virtual Gemba

COO Monthly Team Meeting was held successfully at 17:00 on May 17^th, Beijing time. FALA, Fuselage Equipping, ATDC and HMC all participated in this meeting. Alberto Jose Gutierrez Moreno, Airbus Chief Operating Officer, Michel Tran Van, COO Airbus China, Brian Agnew, GM of HMC and Airbus operation management conducted a virtual gemba walk together to the production site of each factory in China.

WANG Shuyi, the head of Business & Operational Performance Department, introduced HMC workshop through the live lens, presented the production line and equipment with “a zero distance” and all-round perspective, and launched real-time interaction with all the remote visitors.

Brian pointed out that during the closed-loop management period due to the epidemic, HMC employees persisted to work on their posts to ensure the production. Such dedication is commendable.  Mr. Alberto Gutierrez also expressed his fully affirmation and praise for this.

This is the first time for HMC to show the company's production environment and business situation in an intuitive and three-dimensional way through the live broadcast port. With the fully cooperation of on-site team in the workshop, IT and Communications, the smooth progress of the virtual gemba was ensured through planning with details, updating equipment and rehearsals repeatedly. It brings a whole new experience to the remote visitors and they can get more directly understanding of the actual workshop of HMC.
